WAKJA is currently accepting new students for the 2007-2008 school year. Current cost and fees are posted in the section of Tuition and Fees Page, as well as Graduation fees. You can download the forms necessary from this web site at any time. Forms are in Acrobat format, just select, print, fill it out, and send to WAKJA. Please check with your local Sponsor Churches for more information.

P r o c e d u r e s

While William A. Kirlew Junior Academy welcomes applications from students of all cultural and religious backgrounds who are willing to conform to the policies and ideals, expressed in the Student Handbook. New applicants with less than 2.0 may be accepted and placed on academic probation.

Applicants for admissions to WAKJA are required to submit the following items:

  • Application forms completely filled out, including the signatures of both parent or guardians and the student.
  • The application fee.
  • An official transcript.
  • Two recommendations from non family members, preferably from a school official and a pastor or community leader.
  • An original, current, immunization record and a physical examination record on the forms provided by doctors from the Florida Department of Health. These must be on file in the office before the student may attend classes.
  • A birth certificate and copy of the student's social security card should be on file in the registrar's office.
  • A current, student medical treatment form, signed by the parent or guardian.
  • A signed Parent Permission Form for release of any and all psycho-educational evaluations.
  • Completion of the Admissions Test.
  • Signed Parent/Student Handbook Consent form.

O r i e n t a t i o n

All parents MUST attend an orientation session conducted by the WAKJA Administration.
